I Hope You Had The Time Of Your Life

Most twenty-six year old's have normal lives. Most twenty six year old's have at least one loving parent and are just starting to fully experience and embrace life. Bianca Davis has more than her fair share of life experiences. Most people don’t know this. Her past has been something that she’s kept hidden for the most part from other people. She fears that if the truth really came out then people may judge her and treat her differently. Maybe even pity, and that’s one thing that Bianca has tried to avoid her whole life.

Every story has it’s start. Bianca’s story starts on a rainy Tuesday night in November of 1984. Her mother hadn’t even wanted her. If it had been her choice she would have had an abortion. Her parents however were devotedly religious and didn’t believe in abortions. They also didn’t believe in sex before marriage. But since their daughter had done just that they decided she deserved to be punished. Her punishment? She would move back in with them and raise her newborn baby. Her mother hadn’t even named her. Her nurse at the hospital had. His doctors name had been Bianca and she decided that maybe that just fit. Bianca Adeline Davis was brought home from the hospital less than a week after her birth with a mother who couldn’t care less and two grandparents who looked at her as if she were an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

Growing up in household where she wasn’t wanted wasn’t easy for the young girl. Her mother was a waitress at a local diner and worked at a bar all the while trying to save up money to get away from her parents. Her dream was to be a country music star. Having Bianca had been a major set back with that but she was determined to make it happen. Bianca during this time was just growing up. She avoided her grandparents as much as she could and tried to stay out of trouble. The slightest thing she did wrong she would be reminded how lucky she was to even be there and how her existence was a complete and utter sin. Sometimes she wondered if life with her father would be any better. One time she even asked her mother about him. Her response was less than satisfactory. Her father could be any number of men and he didn’t even know of her existence. That thought on top of her grandparents constant reminders and her mothers snarky comments about how she hadn’t even wanted her was enough to drive anyone into wanting a different life.

Her first step at a different life came when she was thirteen years old. Her mother had knocked on her bedroom door after her grandparents had went to bed. She’d been working on some homework and sneaking a cigarette when she’d done this and she quickly made sure to put it out the look of confusion obvious on her face. When she questioned her mother all she said was that they had no time for it. She’d finally saved enough money, talked to some friends and they were going to get out of this place. Start the life she was destined to have and she was going to come with. For all the resentment she had towards Bianca she was still her daughter and on some level she really did love her. So what were her options? Leave with her or stay there with her grandparents? Her mother was the lesser of two evils. She packed everything important into one suitcase and her backpack and snuck down the stairs, loaded up the car and headed off too Nashville. The trip there was long and she slept the majority of it. She’d have to contact her friends when she got there. Let them know how she really felt like she'd had no other choice. She had very few people that meant anything to her but she did have a few people and she needed to make sure they knew that she was okay.

Nashville wasn’t as promising as her mother had built it up to be. Not that she had high expectations. She’d just expected it to be better then her life back home. How could it have been worse? That question was answered when she saw the dingy and dirty apartment complex they’d be living in and when she meant Scott. Her mothers friend from years ago. He was grungy and drunk the majority of the time and Bianca did everything she could to avoid him. Her mother on the other hand was almost like a young school girl again. Not only was she the lead singer in this country band that Scott had formed but she fast became involved with him. Bianca had hated the man from the start and grew to start resenting her mother as well. How dare she drag her to this new life only to ditch her for some no good band that was obviously not going anywhere. They’d have gigs at dive bars but much more than that? It never happened. She started experimenting in random things during this time. Drugs, Drinking, and even shoplifting. It was a thrill. It started to define her. Her mother however didn’t share her enthusiasm in her new hobbies. Well at least when they involved the police. Which happened multiple times over that next year. When she had gotten so out of control she couldn’t handle her anymore Scott convinced her to send her off to a private school. Her mother had caused her acting out and she was being punished? When she called her out on it she dished it right back and dropped a huge bomb. She actually believed that Scott was her father. That was the last straw for Bianca. She'd packed the little stuff he’d had and run away. No private school for her and no more living with those people. She thought she could actually get away with it too. That they wouldn’t even notice or care but they had called the police less then 24 hours later on a runaway report also claiming she’d stolen 500 dollars from them. That was true as well. But Bianca never had seen it as stealing, she was taking just a piece of what was owed to her. Her mother had however worked out a compromise and Bianca was shipped back to her grandparents.

She hadn't been back with her grandparents long when she'd ended up pouring out the whole horrible story out to them. Her grandparents she learned weren't the horrible people she'd made them out to be. In fact they only wanted what was best for Bianca and had been furious when her mother had run off with her. They helped her as much as they were able and even managed to track down her real father. Well at least the man they'd thought was. Her mother's ex boyfriend. She'd been dating him at the time Bianca was conceived. Of course the term dating was used loosely when it came to Bianca's mother. Mike Davis was his name and he lived two towns over. They'd contacted him and he was eager to meet her. Bianca on the other hand wasn't sure what to think. She went of course not wanting to be any bigger of a burden on her grandparents and was surprised by just how kind the man really was. They talked only over dinner that first time but their relationship grew and after time Bianca even started to see him as a father figure. All her previous bad behavior stopped and she even learned that she had a little brother. Born just two years after her. Mike had offered to pay for a DNA test but Bianca refused it. To her she couldn't handle the disappointment. This was her father. No matter what.

After graduation Bianca wasn't sure what to do with her life. She took a few odd jobs. Even met a guy who she had been crazy about. They'd moved in together and even talked marriage and babies. She even was holding down a job at a local Lowe's store and life was starting to feel like it was supposed too. Years into the relationship he started to change. Drinking more and more and blaming her for everything. It didn't take long after that for the beating's to start. She had been certain he was going to kill her. Life had gotten that bad. She'd had to quit her job, seclude herself from her friends, cook what he wanted the way he wanted it, had to wear her hair the way she was told to. Life really started feeling more like slavery. That's why she finally involved the police. Finally found her voice after the last beating. She had been so bruised and beaten her family hadn't been able to recognize her. She'd been in a coma for weeks. An officer had ended up at the hospital and talked to her like a human being. That was the moment she wanted to become a police officer and the moment she let the whole truth spill. He had been arrested and once she was fully mended she packed her bags and was off for a brand new life and a fresh start. She drove as far as she could in the car her father had given her and wound up in Galveston. Less then a week later she signed up for the force where she's now a rookie. Life became more complicated again when she met her training officer, Jack Walker. The last thing Bianca had been looking for was a man. Especially someone that she wasn't allowed to have feelings for. However that didn't stop her heart anyway.

Her life at twenty six is chalked full of life experiences that most people could never imagine or survive. Most people couldn’t have come out of her life as normal as she had. She hasn’t spoken with her mother in years and really has no desire too. She abandoned her, lied to her, and hurt her and that negative energy is something she wants nothing to do with. After finishing her rookie year and not having to worry about the rules anymore Jack proposed and Bianca couldn't help but say yes and when he was offered a job in Charlotte with better pay and benefits they both decided it would be a good change for the both of them. She put in her transfer and followed after. They've been there now for a little over two years now and already she loves the fast paced lifestyle that Charlotte has to offer. Life is finally at a good place for Bianca Davis and for once she's finally at a place where she can say she's enjoying it. A little over three weeks ago they welcomed their first children into this world, Twins! Little Emma Rose and Tristan Michael where just the thing that Bianca and Jack needed to complete their family.
